Datapath Fx4

Advancements in digital signage requirements mean that customers demand greater freedom in creating and deploying small, medium and large scale signage projects.  The Datapath Fx4 is a multi-faceted stand alone display controller that supports a choice of inputs, high bandwidth loop-through as well as 4 genlocked outputs in either DisplayPort or HDMI.

The Fx4 features a DisplayPort1.2 main input alongside two HDMI1.4 inputs offering 4k 4096x2160p at 60 fps or UHD 2160p at 30 fps respectively.  The intuitive user interface allows users to determine which input is used. Each output monitor can take its input from any region of the input image as all of the required cropping, scaling, rotation and frame-rate conversion is handled by the Datapath Fx4 hardware. These regions can overlap to allow any output to replicate another or can be configured to support any creative splice of the source material.  This allows the support of many non-rectangular screen arrangements with uneven gaps, as well as any mix of monitor orientations. As an example, high quality down-scaling allows the display of a 4k source on a single output, while other outputs can crop and upscale to create an almost unlimited multi-screen canvas.
Network Connectivity

The Datapath Fx4 has dual ethernet ports to allow users to add the device to their networks. Only one Datapath Fx4 in the chain requires connection to the physical LAN as ethernet loop through is supported on the second port, meaning multiple devices can be connected.

SQX Streaming Technologies

SQX Technology

SQX is Datapath's collective name for video streaming & compression technologies. Datapath's SQX products open up a world of possibilities for video delivery, transmission and storage whilst maintaining the ability to easily scale projects from the management of a single stream to full inclusive systems that accommodate a wide array of inputs and outputs streaming from a variety of sources to a number of destinations.

SoftSQX uses the processing power of the CPU to decode IP streams. SoftSQX also includes an IP transport stack within Windows for RTSP delivery. The SQXEasy SDK is transparent to both ActiveSQX and SoftSQX. If no ActiveSQX hardware is available, or ActiveSQX resources are full to capacity, the Wall Control SQX software will ‘roll over’ to SoftSQX for decoding networked video sources when on the same domain.
Datasheet

ActiveSQX

Professional AV solutions require video to be recieved from a great many different sources and locations. The ability to recieve and display video directly from online resources such as CCTV networks and remote desktop applications and combining them with local inputs has become an everyday part of fully functional video wall display. Datapath's ActiveSQX PCIe plug in card is a powerful addition to systems that require a scalable hardware based decoding solution.

The ActiveSQX includes a dedicated processor capable of decoding several IP streams simultaneously via the on-board ethernet ports. Fully PCIe compatible, multiple ActiveSQX cards can be used in a single system to provide project scalability giving users more processing and more simultaneous decodes.
Datapath SQX Technologies Datapath's SQX technology is compatible with industry standards for video compression and streaming. The ActiveSQX allows users to decide large numbers of high definition 1080p 60 fps streams and multiple ActiveSQX cards reside in a single system to provide even more decoding capabilities. In addition, the ActiveSQX can be placed in systems alongside graphics cards and video capture cards, such as the Datapath Vision range, to provide a powerful addition to any control room environment. Combine the ActiveSQX with the VisionHD2-SQX to provide full decode and encode capabilities in a single video wall system.

VisionHD2-SQX

Capturing and encoding video for digital streaming or storing is a key requirement for the professional AV market . Users need to be able to capture video and not only send the data to the screen but transport compressed video to online resources or to storage locations for remote access or later retrieval.

The Datapath VisionHD2-SQX is an advanced video capture card with SQX technology that allows captured video to be encoded into H.264. Featuring three independent capture channels the VisionHD2-SQX allows users to capture two high definition 1920x1200 video feeds and directly encode them into H.264 using the dedicated SQX processor. Each encoded video can be utilized by the SQX media server for distribution over a network. In addition raw captured video can be rapidly transferred to graphics hardware or system buffers for viewing or further processing.
Datapath SQX Technologies Datapath’s SQX encoding technology uses the global H.264 standard for video compression and streaming. Multiple streams of captured video can be simultaneously encoded and streamed to different locations. The VisionHD2-SQX can capture two 1920x1200 channels, the encoding engine can encode one channel at 60 fps or both at 30 fps, allowing one stream to be broadcast over the internet and another to be stored to disk. A single stream can be distributed to any number of network locations all configured through a media server.
